It's What's On The Inside That Counts!
Received this from a friend today in e-mail and wanted to share it:
A man was exploring caves by the Seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.
He thought little about it, until he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a rock .. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone!
Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left.
Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he had just thrown it away!
It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount it
We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy.. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person.
There is a treasure in each and every one of us If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.
May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay. May we see the people in our world as God sees them.
I am so blessed by the gems of friendship I have with you.. Thank you for looking beyond my clay vessel.

New Beginnings and Life's Ups and Downs
What a fabulous week it has been! Not everything is perfect, but you have a choice to expect the best and know that "the best is yet to come!" First there was an awesome wedding in our family this weekend! My nephew,Glenn, married Elena. How blessed we feel to have Elena join our family. She is really a beautiful person and is so good with Glenn's son Keylan. What was really a blessing, was meeting Elena's parents who are both deaf. I was challenged to learn sign language because for me, not being able to talk to her beautiful parents was hard. To watch them dance together and with such rhythm! My niece looked at me and said," How can they dance so beautifully when they can't hear?" I told her they could feel the music, due to the increase of the senses gained, from the lack of hearing.
How often do we play the blame game when we don't get what we want? Sometimes we don't get what we want because God has a different plan for our lives, that will be a benefit to him and his purpose, through what we have lost. Life is not always fair, but a life lived with purpose will overcome any obstacle that we have to go through. We are created to be over comers. If God had made it all perfect there would be no need to overcome. Disappointments will try to pull you down. Don't allow them to do that! Look for the solution, the comfort, the encouragement, the determination to succeed! Be determined to not be downhearted, to take responsibility and trust God to fix things, to keep believing, to grow and not growl! Attitude and faith will carry you through!
You are never alone when trouble comes your way. Stay focused and "Think on the GOOD THINGS." When someone pulls the rug out from under you, God will teach you to fly! You cannot be messed with when he is your source! When I get mad or upset and start to hammer myself, I remind myself to "put the hammer away!" Love who you are and take charge of your thoughts. Dig in to your gold mine and then you will see great rewards coming your way. I always love to recommend a list of possitive affirmations, if you are having trouble with positive thoughts. Life can really drain it out of you sometimes and when you start writing those good things down and reading them, somehow they move in and the bad stuff moves out!
You are challenged to deal with life's ups and downs! Struggling in business? Go just one more step and learn one more thing! Has someone hurt you? Start with forgiveness. You can't change what happened, but you can change the way you react to what happened! Someone you love leaving you or moving away? Have faith, God will never leave you or forsake you. He has a new plan for you and he doesn't want you to loose that blessing! Don't know which way to go. Be content where you are and be diligent with what you are doing and God will gently guide your footsteps and show you where he is taking you. Look for purpose where you are! It doesn't have to be something big to be really important to God. The smallest things, can turn into the biggest things! You've got what it takes and it's yours for the taking! Grab hold of it and you will achieve!

DEAL WITH THE ISSUES!
This was a fabulous weekend, as I was able to go to a wonderful country retreat with some awesome girls! We did some "Zumba" and had lots of fun! We had tons of fun and lots of issues we dealt with, in order to get our lives on the right track and get down to the business that matters! It's all about priorities!
What drives you? We are all driven by something! If we don't deal with the things in our life that caused us hurt or pain, we will not find ourselves dealing with the ever day issues of decision making, having a good attitude when things aren't going our way, and keeping a positive attitude and looking with expectation, to accomplish what God has put before us!
Now no one can "share" like a bunch of us ladies, but not only does finding a confident person or peer you can trust help you heal so you can move forward, but it helps you forgive those who have hurt you and often times, you realize you are not alone and because of what you've gone through, you can help someone else! I see many people bottle up their pain and let bitterness hold them back. I encourage anyone who is reading this to go on a search of your inner being and define what happened, how it made you feel, and then ask that question...What did God see in this situation and what did he want me to learn from it.
If you want to be successful in life, you have to Deal With The Issues! Then you will be motivated by your strengths and not your pain. There is a special plan set forth for your life! Men will fail you, but God will never fail you and he wants you to succeed and be a POWERFUL influence in all you do that is good! Quit looking back, except to find inner healing and look ahead to a successful life and future. Make some LEMONADE OUT OF YOUR LEMONS! YOU ARE AN ACHIEVER!

We All Deal With Something!
Achievement Strategy For Today
In order to be successful and confident in your life, you have to be willing to deal with the past life experiences that have affected who you have become. Words and hurtful things that happened to us, even in very early life, can have a lifetime effect on everything we do if we don't get peace with the issue and come to the correct terms of what happened. We get left with a choice! Either we look at the situation and forgive, use it as a stepping stone to build our future strengths on, or we can let it haunt us, torture us, and strip us of our power to overcome and achieve our purpose in life. WE ALL DEAL WITH SOMETHING! Now if we look at each situation, some would be much harder to overcome. The loss of a child or someone close to you, being violated by someone you loved or a stranger, feeling you were always made to feel worthless by those who should have loved you, but never showed it, being physically abused, being lied to by someone you trusted or having a spouse betray you. I could go on and on but lets talk about how we deal with these situations and how we can overcome them and get our peace back! When you're hurting, sometimes you hurt others and for those times in my life, I am sorry. If we could just see ourselves from God's eyes, how much better would our choices and confidence had been!
I teach a class called BABES. This is a christian based class for weight loss and it deals with issues that often cause us distress and setback in our lives. Our lesson this week is a lesson that I've now been through 3 sessions and everytime that lesson comes by again, I seem to find another deep root I have to deal with and pull out! As the creater of our BABES class teaches, in the particular lesson she remembered being a child in a part of the country that was very cold. She lived down a country road and had to once, walk home in a snow storm. She became so cold on the way home, she felt she couldn't go any farther. Her brothers ran ahead and she had her little paper lunch sack and layed down in the ditch and decided just to put her head on the sack and just die. She felt she couldn't go on! After laying there for a short time, she made a decision to get up and go on home. That she did and she really didn't think about it for several years. One day her brother told her that he had something he needed to apologize to her for. She asked him what and he took her back to that day. He had left her and ran ahead and it had bothered him that he left his little sister in the cold and never went back to help her. She was overwhelmed by his apology and later, taking a trip back to her home to visit her parents. She took a walk up the road and when she got to the place, where as a little girl she had layed down and decided to give up, and began to be frustrated looking for the spot. God then spoke to her and told her, "It isn't important where you were when you layed down! Why are you concerned? I don't remember this as the place you layed down to die, I remember this is the place where a little girl decided to get up!" She had never thought of it that way and began to dance, sing and rejoice in the fact that SHE GOT UP!
We often look at a situation from our point of view, but maybe if you look at it from God's point of view, it could completely help you understand. People who get their eye's off of God hurt people and God is saddened by this! He did not cause it but his heart is often broken by the pain a human being can cause to another. He is there to help you figure out "How" to deal with whatever the situation is. He can put things into place for you so you can see yourself from his eyes! He is always there to help you. Believe what he believes about you. Words are powerful so write down what he is saying about you and cancel out any thing that says otherwise! You were fearfully and wonderfully made! You can do ALL THINGS with his help if you will choose to let him help you! He will be the backbone of your strength. He will cause you to strive for success in EVERY aspect of your life! He gives you the POWER TO ACHIEVE!

FOCUS AND PRIORITIES
I can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens Me! That is one of my favorite scriptures! My friend Laura invited me to a Christian Networking Group Meeting last night, so I finally got it in my busy schedule to go. It was a refreshing time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The speaker's topic was one that I was very familiar with. One of my favorite studies I found as I began my Networking business years ago, was the familiarization with different personalities and how to relate to people, according to their personalities. By understanding them you could more fully understand why, they are the way they are! Now I get confused as to who I am because I feel I fit somewhere in every personality and I'm sure we all must share characteristics with the different accessed personalities. One thing I remember about the personality study I did was that the good characteristics of each personality were the characteristics of "God's" personality and if we wanted to be more like God, then we needed to strive to have the good qualities of every personality. Now, back to my subject of "focus" and "priorities." I learned a long time ago to put God first in my life, before my family, before my business, before everything I did. Why? Because he has the best interest in my life. I need to focus each day on what does God want me to do today and what is the top priority of my schedule? What is the most important thing I need to start on? I also learned that God wants family to be an important priority, right after him! Sometimes I struggle with this. My personality is one that loves to be active and busy. I love a new project that has my interest! If I feel something is boring that I need to do or my heart just isn't in it, It's hard for me to walk away from a project and get the other things in my life taken care of that need to be taken care of! The principles of success are all in this formula. God first, family second, and business and other priorities last. One really successful lady, whose seminar I attended, said that she became a millionaire as she was taught the principles of success. Her bitterness towards a church and their judgment towards her, made her turn away from God. Yes she had become successful, but somehow there was an emptiness. Some friends invited her to a service and she protested against going. She blamed God for the harsh judgment some of his church members had against her in one of her previous "church experiences". She finally decided to go with them, even though she was in protest the whole time. As she sat there and listened to the sermon, she noticed as the minister went through the Bible and began to teach, he was teaching the very principles that she had been taught to build her success upon! Startled by this, she turned her heart to God, realizing that people make mistakes and sometimes get judgmental and it wasn't God at all. What he had for her was the formula she needed for not only a successful life financially, but he had the very formula she needed to fill that empty void that was in her life. That's why, if you put him first, he will help you to line up your focus and get your priorities in order. With God, all things are possible and YOU HAVE THE POWER TO ACHIEVE!.

MY LATEST CHALLENGE
Today, I would like to address the issue of Health and Nutrition on my Blog! I would like to let you know, that for some, health is a big challenge and for others, eating right and getting our body's in shape is a BIG issue. Sometimes, it doesn't get your attention, until you are sitting in the doctor's chair and he has the facts right in front of him and he passes that information right back to you! It happened to me, about 2 years ago! Yes, that 106 lb girl in high school had bloomed a bit and got up to 198 pounds! I am not ashamed to talk to you about my personal weight and as I've found in life, you will be a part of my accountability audience! Well, the diabetes was a little "over" boarder line and after 2 years of nursing my sick parents and having walked them through the final stages of their life, I knew I had to address the issue and not put it off any longer. I knew the program was working! I saw the ladies in my church join, and get the weight off! Now it was my turn, so first step....I joined! The program is called BABES. Beautiful Accountable Babes Exercising Sensibility! This is a 12 week program that I now teach! We teach sensible eating, 300 calorie for breakfest, 100 calorie snack, 300 calorie lunch, 100 calorie snack, 300 calorie dinner and 100 calorie snack. This along with attending meetings, keeping an eating journal, and working through an incredible work book, along with exercising 3 to 6 hours a week. Our BABES program, started by Barb Swanson in Oklahoma City, has helped women across the country lose over 30,000 pounds! I am one of them and although not at goal weight yet, because of "a plan," "a program," "a support team," and "accountability," including a choice to participate, I will reach my goal and continue with the 12 week program over and over until I get the job done! Through 2 sessions, I had lost 30 pounds! I found myself in the doctors chair again! I had regressed a little. He was not pleased! I think I might have binged a little the week before the 12 week session started! That was when the blood work was done. He was pleased that I had recommitted to the program and it is not optional for me if I want success and good health. Maybe weight is not your issue, but do you have some things you've been putting off, that you need to get done. We all have a list! Stick to your plan or write out your plan of action, if you don't have it, get committed, and get the job done! My next Doctor visit will not be the same and I am committing to NEVER AGAIN! I am able to do ALL things through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS me!

Find Security In Who You Are!
SOMETIMES you have to take some time to "Soul" search and find out...Who Am I....Why am I here....And What am I suppose to do and accomplish in my life. No matter what your circumstances are, you're purpose is still there! Discouragement comes to all of us at one time or another. NO ONE gets out of this life without it! The power of your faith is the incredible tool you need to be an over comer. Now look at faith. Faith is VISION. Faith is a DREAM. FAITH is SUBSTANCE soon to come! Without a DREAM or FAITH or VISION....people will perish or not find their purpose in life. You MUST be putting into your mind, things that will inspire your FAITH, DREAM, and VISION, otherwise, all the other junk will gladly dwell there. We have so much sickness, depression, suicide, rape, incest, and living that is HARD on the SOUL going on in our world. YOU are needed to make a difference, even if you are a product of past hurts....you can recapture the Vision and Passion that you lost! TAKE IT BACK! GET ON TRACK! Lay that dream out in front of you and don't look back! You were meant to be victorious and ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM! God is cheering you on, and so am I!

Time Is Of The Essence!
TODAY is a day you should cherish! We live in a very complex world, where family and friends are spread all over the place. We work, sleep, maybe watch some TV and go to bed! Take time today and look back at what you have walked away from! Someday, that special "someone", who means so much to you, may be gone! You may not have a chance to tell them again, how much you care for them, or show them the kindness they deserve! As Valentines day reminds us of "Love"....this should be a love that is not only between our "soul mates," but everyone who has touched our lives in one way or another! Some of the people are alone and already living with regrets of having someone they loved leave them! You may be the only one who gives them that special hug, or word of encouragement! We need each other in this world. As we work toward our goals and dreams, we can be so much more fulfilled, by keeping our priorities in line. God first, then family and then with God to guide us, he'll help us get everything else done!

Expect a Miracle! I remember those words, spoken often when my Dad and Mom would watched Oral Roberts healing ministry on TV. What a legacy he left, with just those 3 words! I'm wanting to share something today with you that will encourage you and those 3 words should do it! Life is not always a box full of chocolates....right? You have it in you to make it through, as long as you let the Lord call the shots and then, you can pull the trigger! We were meant to achieve and to be over comers. That didn't mean that we wouldn't be challenged. Take that challenge today, thank God for it, don't let anger,frustration or bitterness set in! Know that if you do that, when you look back from the top of the stairs, you will know, It was just a stepping stone to get you to the place you were meant to be. Reach for the top and God will give you the desires of your heart!

Enjoy Your Life!
I love new adventures! I guess it's a "choice" to enjoy life and make the best out of a situation! You can actually make the decision to be happy, but I'd be a fool to think that it is easy for everyone! Traveling with a friend to a business meeting over the weekend was so much fun! We we were blessed with a good trip. And laughter was one of the highlights of the trip! Yes we chose to make an investment in order to learn how to successfully run our new business, and we both felt really good about our decision to invest in ourselves, and we went, so we could gain knowledge and have the best success possible with our new opportunity! How about it? Are you willing to invest in yourself? Happiness is an investment in yourself. The Bible says that Laughter is a great medicine. And "Knowledge," that too is an awesome investment to make. If you will remove the emotions that keep you isolated and paralyzed with "fear," you can move forward, be happy, and succeed at everything you do! Have a joyful heart! The joy of the Lord is our Strength! Remember....Laughter is contegeous! Spread it around to someone!

Make Disappointments Your Strength
Who do you become, when things don't go your way? I am facinated by some of the studies done on differant personalities, and how they react to circumstances, when our plans get messed up. Understanding the different reactions people have becomes easier, as you understand that people handle stress in different ways. But let's look at some of the best ways to handle issues, no matter what your usual reaction would have been. First of all, you must come face to face with the pain of disappointment! Then, you must really take charge, look at the solution, and not the problem, understand, that something better is about to happen, and get prepared for what is ahead, because if you do that, you will get the results you want and need, and you will not be overcome with the problem! Inside every disappointment lies a precious gem of wisdom. Avoid using words like failure, disaster, things never go right for me, I can't, it's never, etc. My fourth grade teacher was right when she said, "never say can't!" The Bible says YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens you! Forget the past and BLAZE ahead! With every negative thought throughout this day.....try to catch it! And when you do, turn it around and then write it down! Address your challenges! Look at them as a stepping stone to your success! As long as failure doesn't stop you.....SUCCESS will be there waiting for you! HERES TO YOUR SUCCESS!

Who ME??? Custom Ordered???
You know, It's important who you allow to input into your life. Did you know you were custom ordered, even before you were born? Your characteristics were designed and you had a mission you were being created for! Jeremiah 1:5 says,"Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew you, and before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet. Now a profit usually goes forth with a message! That message and blessing that was put in you is still with you today! You do matter and what you have in your heart does matter and people that don't know "you," will not always understand who you are! It only matter's that you learn to accept your "gift" and your "purpose" that God put in your life! Every day we have choices to be made. We sometimes get caught up in trying to make people happy and then often times We miss what God is trying to show us. His plan will fit with you like a hand and glove, if you put it on and wear it proudly! Look deep inside to determine who you are and why you are here? God needs us to fill our spot in his plan and he needs others to fill their spot as well. Don't focus on your faults, but on your strengths! Don't listen to what others say about you but ask God, and listen, to what he is saying about you! We are back to watching out who you spend your time with. People who love you will often hurt you. When this happens, it's time to slip up into Gods arms and ask him to tell you again what it was he thought of you! His love is never failing and he will help you become stronger than before. Don't hold on to past hurts! God will set your mind at peace when you know him and how he feels about you! You are his child and his compassion for you is so vast, you could never comprehend it. Those days you have to snuggle up in his arms are what will perfect his purpose in our lives. Be Blessed!
